HandTalk Communication Glove

HandTalk Communication Glove

Engineering students at Carnegie Mellon University have developed the HandTalk, an interactive communication glove which are able to translate finger and hand gestures into spoken words. I guess that is pretty much a language translator, giving those who know zilch about sign language a chance to know what the deaf/hard of hearing are trying to communicate. The first version has a

32 word limited vocabulary, but that is better than nothing. Hopefully more research can be made and turn that into a fully fledged communications tool for the masses in the near future.
