Alienware has rolled out its new Area 51 m17x gaming laptop that is a state-of-the-art notebook, although don’t expect any sort of convenient portability with this. Specifications of this 17″, 5.2kg monster include :-

- Up to 4GB DDR2 RAM
- 640GB hard drive
- Optional hybrid drive
- Hot swappable Smart Dock
- Two NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTXgraphics cards
- HDMI output
- TV tuner and DVR functionality
Prices start from £1,430 upwards for the Alienware Area-51 m17x.
